Make a Twister in a Bottle
Show students how a twister works by creating their very own twisters in bottles. This project takes approximately 30 minutes.
Materials Needed:
- A bottle with a lid -- a see-through plastic water bottle, a baby food jar, a see-through plastic medicine container, a plastic pop bottle, etc.
- Water
- a teaspoon of salt
- two drops of dish washing liquid
Optional:
- two drops of food coloring
- glitter
Directions:
- Fill the bottle with water to one inch from top.
- Add the teaspoon of salt and shake the bottle until dissolved.
- Add the drops of dish washing detergent.
- Add optional ingredients if desired.
- Put lid on tightly and swirl the bottle in a circular motion.
